Visit my village is a series of villages in Uttarakhand. It's all about travel, Lifestyle and real issues that majorly villages are facing these days. Here you will enjoy the beauty of Uttarakhand in these series of videos.
Balma ( बालमा ) - Heart of Garhwal- Balma Village
Balma is situated in Tehri Garhwal. Its neighbouring villages are Bhatkoti and Pangarhkhal. It is 12kms from New Tehri.
I made this video on the request of Kiran Negi of Balma Village who currently resides in New Zealand. The way to the village is amazing and the scenery is one of the epitomai of Garhwal beauty. It's scarcely populated and on average only 20-30 Families live there. A major reason is most of them have migrated to bigger cities and countries. There are many health issues that residents of Balma are facing due to lack of facilities. However, the older generation does not agree on leaving their village for better greens. They love their own soil and village and from the people of Balma, this is their only true home.
